152 students participate in two-day simulation of United Nations proceedings

JAMSHEDPUR – DAV Public School in Bistupur successfully organized a two-day Model United Nations and Youth Parliament programme on October 10, 2025, with enthusiastic participation from 152 students.
The event simulated United Nations General Assembly proceedings effectively. Moreover, it provided students a platform for discussing global issues. However, the focus remained on developing diplomatic skills too.
Event Structure and Participation
A total of 155 delegates from classes V-VIII participated. They engaged in two distinct committees during the programme. Furthermore, UNGA and Yu-Sansad formed the primary discussion forums.
Day one sessions addressed India’s foreign policy challenges comprehensively. Pakistan-sponsored terrorism emerged as a key discussion point. Additionally, US-NATO interference in Middle Eastern countries received attention.
The second day focused on domestic development priorities substantially. Government skill development initiatives were examined thoroughly. Besides, unemployment solutions for Youth Parliament drew considerable debate.
Key Topics Discussed
UNGA discourse centered on migration and human trafficking issues. International terrorism also featured prominently in the deliberations. Meanwhile, delegates showcased exceptional research and diplomatic capabilities throughout.
Participants demonstrated strong public speaking abilities during sessions. On the other hand, thoughtful debates made discussions highly informative. In addition, the atmosphere remained both lively and educational.
Leadership and Coordination
Riya Saxena served as the Secretary-General for the event. Anwesha Pathak functioned as Chair Person for UNGA proceedings. Similarly, Navya Chabbra held the Vice Chair Person position.

Special Mention category acknowledged additional talented delegates appropriately. Sameer Dandpath representing Ukraine and Aahan Aditya from Russia earned UNGA mentions. Besides, Aviryan Duggar from Arwind Kejriwal received Youth Parliament appreciation.
Verbal Mention awards recognized multiple participants across both committees. Shresth from Israel, Jini Yadav from Bangladesh received UNGA mentions. Furthermore, Sritama Banerjee representing India earned acknowledgment too. Harsh Singh from Rahul Gandhi secured Youth Parliament verbal mention.
Closing Remarks
Secretary-General Riya Saxena addressed delegates in her closing speech. She thanked all participants for their enthusiastic involvement sincerely. In addition, organizing committee members received appreciation for efforts.
