JAMSHEDPUR – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district committee organized a protest at the municipal corporation office, focusing on various persistent issues in the Mango area. The demonstration was led by District President Sudhanshu Ojha and State Trade Cell Convenor Neeraj Singh, with several party leaders and workers in attendance.

Addressing Multiple Civic Concerns

The protest highlighted several pressing issues in Mango, including irregular electricity supply, inadequate water services, deteriorating roads, clogged drains, and the recent fourfold increase in holding taxes. The leaders emphasized that these problems have been longstanding, with little to no intervention from the municipal authorities.

Submission of Memorandum

Following the demonstration, the BJP delegation submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, outlining their demands for immediate action. They insisted on resolving the highlighted issues within six days, warning that failure to do so would result in more aggressive protests by the party.

Statements from Party Leaders

District President Sudhanshu Ojha expressed deep concern over the state of affairs in Mango, stating, “The area is overwhelmed with filth, and despite the government’s announcements, holding taxes have been increased fourfold. Issues like electricity, water, roads, and drainage have persisted for years, yet the Mango Municipal Corporation remains silent.”

State Trade Cell Convenor Neeraj Singh added, “We demand that all these problems be addressed within six days. If our demands are not considered, the BJP will escalate its agitation.”
