IMD Warns of Poor Visibility as Cold Wave Continues Across State

RANCHI – The India Meteorological Department has issued a dense fog warning for northern Jharkhand regions, with visibility expected to drop significantly over the next two days.

The current weather conditions show varying patterns across districts. Temperatures continue to fall across the state.

Temperature Variations

Hazaribagh remains the coldest spot in Jharkhand. The mercury dipped to 7.7 degrees Celsius there.

Meanwhile, Ranchi recorded 10.4 degrees Celsius. The state capital experiences partly cloudy conditions.

“The combination of temperature fluctuations and moisture is causing these foggy conditions,” a meteorological expert explained.

District-wise Records

Gumla registered a chilly 7.9 degrees Celsius. The cold wave affects daily activities there.

Moreover, Jamshedpur’s local observatory noted 12.6 degrees Celsius. Daltonganj follows with 12 degrees.

Furthermore, Dhanbad recorded 10.1 degrees Celsius. Khunti reports 9.8 degrees.

Safety Measures

The IMD has issued specific travel advisories. Poor visibility affects morning commutes significantly.

Additionally, motorists must use fog lights. The department recommends reduced driving speeds.

On the other hand, railways might face scheduling challenges. The weather department monitors conditions continuously.
