East Singhbhum to Close Schools Without UDISE Registration

District Education Department Targets Unrecognized Educational Institutions

Key Points:

  • Schools without UDISE codes face closure under government directive
  • Board-recognized institutions exempt from closure despite missing codes
  • District awaits official letter to begin enforcement actions

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum education department prepares to shut down schools operating without mandatory UDISE codes.

The UDISE code serves as a national identifier. It helps track school data across India.

Meanwhile, UDISE Plus provides enhanced monitoring capabilities. It records student enrollment and infrastructure details.

Furthermore, Ashish Kumar Pandey, DSE Officer, confirmed the upcoming action. The department awaits official documentation.

Recognition Standards

However, schools with board recognition remain safe. CBSE, CISCE, and JAC-affiliated institutions won’t face closure.

Moreover, the initiative targets long-term non-compliant schools. Those missing self-declaration certificates risk shutdown.

Monitoring System

Additionally, UDISE codes contain 11 unique digits. They help verify each school’s recognition status.

The Ministry of Education uses these codes. They ensure maintenance of educational standards nationwide.
