Medininagar – Police have arrested two individuals, A Choubey and S Kumar, for displaying weapons near a petrol pump in Palamu. Their arrest follows a police raid based on intelligence reports.

Details of the Arrest

According to SHO Uttam Kumar Rai, the operation was initiated after SP Rishma Ramesan received confidential information. Both suspects were caught near Pokhraha Khurd petrol pump, reportedly brandishing a weapon.

The accused were identified as 19-year-old A Choubey from Barkagaon and S Kumar from Asehar, Sagalim. During the raid, police confiscated a pistol and a mobile phone from their possession.

Legal Actions and Police Operation

The arrested youths have been booked under the Arms Act and sent to judicial custody. A case has been registered at Sadar Police Station.

The raid was led by SHO Uttam Kumar Rai, with assistance from SI Ranjit Kumar, ASI Nabi Ansari, and constables Niranjan Kumar, Rajesh Oraon, and Ramlal Sharma.

Ongoing Investigations

Authorities are continuing to investigate the source of the illegal weapon. “We are committed to ensuring public safety and curbing illegal arms,” a police source stated.
