JAMSHEDPUR – A three-day Capacity Building Program aimed at strengthening teaching techniques for Grade III-V English teachers concluded successfully at DAV Public School, Bistupur, on November 24, 2024.
Organized under the aegis of DAV CAE New Delhi, the workshop was led by Training Coordinator Pragya Singh, Principal cum ARO for Jharkhand Zone E. Sixteen teachers from DAV schools across Zone E, including institutions in Jamadoba, Noamundi, and Chaibasa, actively participated.
Mrs. Meena KS from DAV Public School, Bistupur, served as the program observer. The sessions, designed to enhance language learning and teaching efficiency, covered topics like listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
The first day featured a session on "Language Learning Knowing the Norms" by Mrs. Moulimala Ghosh, which emphasized language skill development. Mrs. Mattam Sunita conducted a session on classroom management strategies, focusing on routines, proximity, and effective teaching techniques.
On the second day, Mrs. Ruby Hazra led an engaging session on teaching functional grammar, while Mrs. Moulimala Ghosh explored methods to improve speaking skills. Participants gained valuable insights into developing effective communication in the classroom.
The final day included games and activities conducted by the participants, fostering an interactive and practical learning environment. These activities highlighted innovative teaching methods to engage young learners.
