USA-based chemical engineer announces major donation during Platinum Jubilee event

DHANBAD – BIT Sindri’s chemical engineering alumnus announced a significant donation for establishing a state-of-art laboratory.

The announcement came during jubilee celebrations. Meanwhile, institute officials began implementation planning.

Dr. Pankaj Rai, Director, welcomed the initiative. Moreover, he highlighted research opportunities it would create.

"This laboratory will enhance our institutional ranking," stated an expert. Furthermore, it promises additional income through consultancy.

Alumni association members express cautious optimism. However, they recall last year’s unfulfilled promise.

Sharma operates industries in USA and Hajipur. Additionally, he attended the event with his wife.

This marks the second major alumni donation. Meanwhile, KP Singh pledged Rs 1 crore in October.

The proposed facility will feature latest technologies. Moreover, it aims to bridge theoretical and practical learning.

The institute plans immediate implementation. Furthermore, department head Dr. Amit Gupta leads project planning.
