JAMSHEDPUR – The Prateek Sangharsh Foundation (PSF) celebrated its Foundation Day on Friday by dedicating the day to humanitarian service. The team served meals to 50 residents of the Nav Jagrat Manav Samaj Leprosy Ashram (Antyodaya Bhavan) in Jugsalai and provided medicines to patients in need.

The Foundation also distributed saris and blankets to underprivileged individuals. A two-hour blood donation camp was organized, collecting 25 units of blood and five Single Donor Platelets (SDP) donations from volunteers, including M. V. Prasad, Awadhesh Kumar Verma, Mrinal Sahu, Jyoti Prakash, and Ashish Agarwal.

In the evening, a ceremony at Jamshedpur Blood Center honored the memory of Birsa Munda and Arshanandan, a local resident who recently underwent Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) in Kolkata.

PSF’s recent efforts in supporting Arshanandan, including the organization of a large-scale SDP donation campaign, were highlighted. The initiative, led by PSF Director Arijit Sarkar and supported by MTMH Administrator Amitabh Chatterjee and Jamshedpur Blood Center GM Sanjay Choudhary, successfully provided life-saving SDP donations from Jamshedpur to Kolkata, offering Arshanandan a new lease on life.

The program began with a floral welcome and shawls for the guests, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and lamp lighting.

Prominent blood donors and PSF members, including 100-time donor Kumaresh Hazra and other notable contributors such as Kishore Sahu, Bhagwan Singh, and Ravi Shankar, were felicitated with shawls, mementos, and certificates.

Key attendees included Major Rajesh Arun, Blood Center Chairperson Ruchi Narendran, Secretary Nalini Ramamurthy, Dr. Rita Singh, and social workers like Dr. Vijay Mohan Singh and VBDA founder Sunil Mukherjee.
