JAMSHEDPUR – NDA candidate Saryu Roy has released a report card detailing his extensive engagement in the Jharkhand Assembly, where he raised 97 questions directly related to Jamshedpur between March 2020 and August 2024.
In his report, Roy highlighted his dedication to addressing local concerns through diverse question formats, including starred and unstarred questions, attention notices, and private resolutions.
Despite limited assembly sessions, Roy managed to raise numerous local issues, including 60 unstarred questions covering topics like infrastructure, healthcare, and development projects in Jamshedpur.
His queries reflect his focus on Jamshedpur’s needs, with Roy emphasizing, “Even in challenging assembly conditions, I prioritized public issues.”
Statewide Concerns Addressed Alongside Local Queries
In addition to local questions, Roy raised 109 state-level issues, demonstrating his broader commitment to Jharkhand’s welfare.
Of these, 72 were unstarred questions on general concerns across the state, complemented by 24 starred questions and nine attention notices.
Roy noted that his efforts included queries in years when assembly sessions were shorter than usual, reflecting his determination to ensure public issues received attention despite limited assembly days.
Five Years of Public Advocacy and Accountability
Over the five-year period, Roy’s assembly activities included seven attention-drawing questions and six private resolutions, focusing on Jamshedpur-specific development and reforms.
Releasing his report, Roy said, “Despite disruptions, I raised pressing issues continuously. My goal was to bring the voices of Jamshedpur residents to the forefront of state discussions.”
