JAMSHEDPUR – Former MP Dr. Ajoy Kumar reassures Lal Baba Foundry godown owners as demolition plans are put on hold amid growing concerns.

Dr. Ajoy Kumar, a senior Congress leader, visited the Lal Baba Foundry area to assess the situation.

He engaged with worried godown owners, offering support and insights.

The ex-MP revealed discussions with top officials, including the Deputy Commissioner.

Kumar stated that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has guaranteed no immediate demolitions.

"We must fight this battle legally, and I will stand by you every step of the way," Kumar assured the residents.

The Congress leader questioned the origins of the current predicament.

He pointed fingers at the BJP, particularly former Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Kumar alleged that Das strategically excluded Lal Baba Foundry when terminating leases for 86 settlements.

"This deliberate omission has weakened our legal position," he claimed.

A local business owner expressed relief, saying, "We’re grateful for Dr. Kumar’s intervention and support in these uncertain times."

Kumar criticized local BJP leaders for their apparent lack of concern.

He questioned the absence of BJP MP Vidyut Varan Mahato and Union Minister Arjun Munda.

The Congress leader accused BJP of being preoccupied with their "Parivartan Rally" while residents face uncertainty.

"Where are the BJP leaders now when the people need them most?" Kumar challenged.

He predicted that despite their current silence, BJP would be quick to claim credit for any positive outcomes.

Kumar emphasized the need for a united front to protect the interests of Lal Baba Foundry residents.

He promised to continue monitoring the situation and providing necessary support.
