Former RS member raises concerns about demographic changes in Jharkhand
Key Points:
• Rakesh Sinha blames Christian missionaries for illegal migration
• Accuses JMM-led government of failing to protect tribal interests
• Claims conversion will be a major election issue in upcoming polls
JAMSHEDPUR – Former Rajya Sabha member and RSS pracharak Rakesh Sinha has launched a scathing attack on the Jharkhand government, raising alarm over alleged demographic changes in the state.
Speaking to media at Jamshedpur’s Circuit House, Sinha criticized Christian missionaries.
He accused them of facilitating illegal migration and religious conversions in Santhal Pargana and other regions.
Moreover, Sinha held the JMM-led state government responsible for these issues.
The RSS leader argued that while border control is a central government responsibility, the state must protect local resources.
He claimed migrants are encroaching on tribal lands, forests, and religious sites.
Furthermore, Sinha predicted that conversion, not Bangladeshi immigration, will be the primary election issue.
He emphasized that RSS’s Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra never supports religious conversions.
Instead, Sinha stated that the RSS advocates for a society driven by nationalism and patriotic sentiments.
The former MP expressed optimism about political change in Jharkhand.
He cited the recent "Parivartan Yatra" initiative under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.
On the other hand, Sinha squarely blamed the Hemant Soren government for the plight of Jharkhand’s tribal communities.
His statements have reignited debates on religious freedom and tribal rights in the state.
As elections approach, these issues are likely to shape political discourse in Jharkhand.
The government has yet to respond to Sinha’s allegations of mishandling tribal welfare and migration concerns.
