Ranchi-Varanasi Vande Bharat to Stop at Parasnath Station Soon

Ranchi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express to introduce a halt at Parasnath station, aiding passengers and Jain pilgrims from Jharkhand.

The Ranchi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will soon start halting at Parasnath station, benefiting travelers, particularly Jain pilgrims, by improving accessibility to this important religious site.

RANCHI – The Ranchi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express is set to include a stop at Parasnath station, according to a recent communication from the Ministry of Railways.

This new halt, expected to begin shortly, is aimed at providing better connectivity for passengers from Jharkhand and the surrounding regions.

The addition of this stop will particularly benefit Jain pilgrims who frequently travel to Parasnath for religious purposes.

Enhanced Connectivity for Pilgrims

This decision follows a request from Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai, a Member of Parliament.

It was officially confirmed by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in a letter dated July 12, 2024.

Parasnath is a major pilgrimage site for the Jain community, attracting thousands of devotees each year.

The inclusion of this halt on the Vande Bharat Express route will make it easier for pilgrims to reach their destination.

This stop will offer a faster and more comfortable travel option.

A railway official highlighted the importance of this decision, stating, "Adding Parasnath as a stop on the Vande Bharat route will enhance the overall travel experience for passengers, particularly those visiting for religious purposes."

This development is part of Indian Railways’ broader efforts to expand and enhance the Vande Bharat services across key routes.

These efforts aim to offer high-speed and comfortable travel options to passengers.
