Violence erupted at the community building in Durga Mandir premises during the form distribution for JMMSSY in Adityapur’s wards 7 and 8 on Tuesday.

ADITYAPUR – Chaos broke out at the Durga Mandir community center in Adityapur during JMMSSY form distribution, leading to assaults on staff.

Despite the administration’s efforts to provide forms to all women, delays in form distribution and slow upload times caused frustration among applicants.

An individual entered the center and began misbehaving with the women present.

An operator was attacked with a brick, and the door to the operator’s room was kicked open.

Anganwadi workers and other staff escaped to the CDPO office in the Gamharia Block-cum-Zonal office building and reported the incident to the circle officer.

Upon receiving the information, the CO directed the Adityapur police to investigate the incident thoroughly and take strict action.

The "Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana" has seen a daily increase in applicants, contributing to the chaos.

Efforts by the administration to ensure smooth form distribution are ongoing.
