Rakhi Fair Inaugurated at Hotel Alcor, Bistupur
Harmony collaborates with FTS Jamshedpur for Rakhi Fair; showcases unique handmade products.
Friends of Tribal Society (FTS) Jamshedpur’s youth wing and women’s committee, in collaboration with Harmony, inaugurated the Rakhi Edit fair at Hotel Alcor, Bistupur on Friday.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Rakhi fair was inaugurated at Hotel Alcor, Bistupur by FTS Jamshedpur’s President Rajesh Mittal, senior member Chhitarmal Dhoot, FTS Women’s Committee President Neelam Kedia, Secretary Mamta Bakrewal, FTS Youth Jamshedpur President Rashmi Garg, Secretary Piyush Chaudhary, and Harmony representatives Preeti Khara and Jaya Gandhi.
Rajesh Mittal highlighted FTS’s mission, stating, "FTS aims to illuminate rural education. Over 600 single-teacher schools in remote villages are funded by the Jamshedpur chapter."
The enthusiasm at the inauguration ceremony was palpable, especially with the artistic items made from cow dung by artisans from West Bengal attracting significant attention.
Rashmi Garg mentioned that exhibitors from major cities impressed attendees with their unique, high-quality products. FTS provided a platform for Bengal artisans to showcase cow dung products, which received much appreciation.
A notable attraction was the stall by renowned jeweler Keshavji Chhaganlal, featuring the latest gold and diamond jewelry collections.
Piyush Chaudhary shared, "FTS Youth Jamshedpur was formed in March, and we have organized numerous programs in the past five months. Our main aim is to engage the younger generation in social work."
Neelam Kedia and Mamta Bakrewal described the special features of the FTS stall, including mustard oil, pure desi ghee from Gir cows, real honey, and high-quality organic turmeric powder, all of which were well-received.
Visitors enjoyed premium collections featuring exquisite Lucknow collections, designer rakhis, Indo-Western attire, silk Banarasi sarees, handmade skincare products, and handcrafted wooden decorative items.
Jaya Gandhi and Preeti Khara of the Harmony team expressed pride in FTS’s support for the Rakhi Edit event. They were delighted with the enthusiasm and support from attendees, inviting everyone to enjoy this unique shopping experience that also supports rural artisans and women entrepreneurs.
