CM Hemant Soren Criticizes Opposition Leaders During Dumka Visit

Soren claims local BJP leaders are inactive, necessitating outside help.

During a visit to Dumka, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren criticized opposition leaders, claiming they are inactive and necessitating the import of leaders from other states.

DUMKA – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren criticized opposition leaders during his visit to Dumka, stating that local leaders are "discharged," necessitating the import of leaders from other states.

CM Hemant Soren, along with his wife, MLA Kalpana Soren, and brother, Dumka MLA Basant Soren, visited the family of Maheshpur MLA Stephen Marandi to offer condolences following the death of Marandi’s wife.

During the visit, Soren expressed his sorrow to the grieving family and then responded to allegations made by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Soren asserted that local leaders have become inactive, hence the need to bring in leaders from outside.

However, Soren refused to comment on the suspension of 18 opposition MLAs in the Assembly.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had accused the Hemant Soren government of remaining silent on Bangladeshi infiltration and the exploitation of tribal lands in Pakur.

Sarma remarked, "The situation in Pakur is dire. The Hemant government is preventing us from entering. If they can stop a CM, how can a common man go?"

Sarma traveled from Deoghar to Pakur via Dumka to investigate the police’s alleged assault on tribal students and the issues of land encroachment by Bangladeshi infiltrators.
