Two Children Drown in River at Asangi Ghat

Two boys from Ichhapur went missing while bathing in the river; search operations underway.

Two children from Ichhapur have reportedly drowned while bathing in the river at Asangi Ghat under the RIT police station area.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tragedy struck at Asangi Ghat under the RIT police station area when two children from Ichhapur, Aditya Mahto (15) and Sumit Modi alias Bholu, drowned while bathing in the river on Sunday around 11:00 AM.

Upon receiving the information, RIT police arrived at the scene and, with the help of local divers, began searching for the children.

As of the time of writing, the children have not been found.

The incident occurred when Aditya and Sumit, along with their friends, went to bathe at Asangi Ghat and were swept away by the strong current.

Upon hearing the news, the families of the missing children rushed to the scene, where they are in deep distress.

Efforts to locate the boys continue, with local authorities and divers working tirelessly.

This incident has left the community in shock and the families devastated.
