School honors teachers, launches robotics class during festive event

Students pledge to follow Guru’s guidance during cultural program at Ghatshila institution.

GHATSHILA – Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir in Ghatshila marked Guru Purnima with a vibrant celebration, honoring teachers and introducing new educational initiatives.

Tulsi Prasad Thakur, Department Head of Vidya Bharti School’s Jamshedpur zone, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

"Following the guidance of Gurus is crucial for students to become ideal learners," Thakur emphasized in his address to the students.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Guru Poojan ritual, performed by Thakur alongside school officials.

Students participated in Guru Pujan and pledged allegiance to their teachers’ guidance, showcasing their commitment through cultural performances.

School Secretary Praveen Kumar Agarwal urged students to adhere to the teachings of their Gurus and parents for a well-rounded life.

"Our goal is to nurture cultured and responsible citizens through education," Agarwal stated during the ceremony.

Principal Lakhanlal Karmali echoed this sentiment, stressing the importance of respecting and following the wisdom of educators and elders.

The school management committee honored teachers and staff with gifts of clothing, recognizing their dedication and contributions.

Senior Acharya Chanda Mukherjee skillfully conducted the event, ensuring a smooth flow of activities.

In a significant development, the school inaugurated a new Robotics Class in collaboration with Robotech company.

Subroto Mahapatra, director of the Robotic Class, will lead the program along with experts from Bengaluru.

"This initiative aims to equip our students with skills for self-employment after completing Class 10," explained a school committee member.

The Guru Purnima celebration at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir highlighted the school’s commitment to both traditional values and modern educational approaches.
