JMM Targets BJP in Dhanbad Election Drama, Ready to Support Saryu Roy

JMM Reveals Strategy to Defeat BJP’s Dhullu Mahato in Dhanbad

In a recent political maneuver in Jharkhand, JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) outlined its strategy to combat BJP’s influence in the upcoming Dhanbad Lok Sabha elections. The party showed willingness to extend support to Saryu Roy if he contests from Dhanbad with Congress support, signaling a heated battle ahead.

RANCHI – The political arena in Dhanbad, as well as entire Jharkhand, heats up as JMM general secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya, unveils plans to reveal the complete ‘history of accusations’ against Dhullu Mahato, BJP’s candidate for the Dhanbad seat, once the electoral code of conduct concludes.

This announcement signals a direct challenge to BJP’s campaign, amid allegations of serious crimes against Mahato.

Bhattacharya’s statement, "We will release their complete horoscope on the day they file their nomination. Right now there is a code of conduct, but after the code of conduct is over, this entire matter will be investigated," underscores the party’s intent to intensify scrutiny on BJP candidates.

In a strategic move to counter BJP’s influence, JMM has extended an olive branch to Saryu Roy, the current MLA from Jamshedpur East, encouraging his candidacy for the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat under the Congress banner.

This collaboration aims to consolidate opposition forces against the ruling party, leveraging Roy’s expressed willingness to challenge BJP’s nominee.

Roy, who has previously voiced concerns over BJP’s choice of Dhullu Mahato for Dhanbad, citing his embroilment in serious criminal allegations, reaffirmed his commitment to contesting the elections if backed by the ‘India’ alliance.

His determination to stand against Mahato reflects a broader opposition strategy to unite against perceived injustices and malpractices within the current political framework.

The backdrop of this political chess game includes a critique of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s alleged corruption, highlighted by Bhattacharya’s mention of an FIR registered against Dubey at Jasidih police station.

This critique aims to cast a shadow over BJP’s anti-corruption stance, challenging the party’s moral high ground.

Amidst these political maneuvers, the alignment between JMM and Congress becomes evident, with JMM’s explicit support for Roy should he be nominated by Congress for the Dhanbad seat.

This alliance underscores a concerted effort to dislodge BJP from a key parliamentary position, with Bhattacharya’s remarks revealing a tactical approach to the upcoming electoral battle.

As JMM gears up to expose the allegations against BJP candidates, the political landscape in Dhanbad is set for a showdown, with implications for both local and national political dynamics.
