BJP Spokesperson Dr. Arun Oraon Slams JMM for Questioning EVM, Election Commission

Former IPS officer accuses JMM of considering itself above constitutional institutions, calls I.N.D.I.A. alliance "Indie Thugbandhan"

Dr. Arun Oraon, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson and former IPS officer, has strongly criticized the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) for raising doubts about the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and the Election Commission.

JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Arun Oraon, the BJP spokesperson, has launched a scathing attack on the JMM.

In response to a statement made by JMM general secretary and chief spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya, Dr. Oraon told the media, "JMM is enjoying power today only on the basis of results declared by EVM and the Election Commission."

He pointed out that the Election Commission, an impartial and constitutional institution, has already transferred 8 DMs and 12 SPs across 5 states, including the SP of Deoghar, to ensure fair elections.

"JMM‘s panic shows as if the SP of Deoghar is not a state police officer, but a JMM worker," Dr. Oraon remarked.

The BJP spokesperson accused JMM of considering itself above constitutional institutions and claimed that any organization not working in favor of JMM would be labeled as pro-BJP.

"JMM should remember the achievements of its government, like the overnight transfer of the DSP who reported the sleeper cell in Lohardaga and the punishment faced by a police officer for taking action against a terrorist in the Tamar elections," he said.

Dr. Oraon questioned JMM’s fretting over the transfer if they were confident that the investigation process would not stop, and urged the newly posted officer to continue the investigation and punish the culprit.

The former IPS officer also termed the anti-Modi nationwide alliance I.N.D.I.A. as "Indie Thugbandhan," claiming that it is taking its last breaths in Jharkhand.

"JMM is surrounded by an all-round crisis, and the public no longer has faith in JMM or its leaders. They are scared of the action being taken against the corruption committed by their government," Dr. Oraon asserted.

The war of words between the BJP and JMM has intensified as the state gears up for the upcoming elections, with both parties trading accusations and questioning each other’s credibility.
