Godda MP Nishikant Dubey Challenges FIR Allegations

BJP’s Nishikant Dubey Faces Legal Challenge, Defends Religious Practices

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey from Godda has publicly disputed charges against him following an FIR and police summons.

RANCHI – Nishikant Dubey, the incumbent BJP MP from Godda, has been summoned to Manoharpur police station following an FIR registered against him.

The legal notice highlights a serious accusation that carries a minimum sentence of 7 years.

Mohammed Aftab of Mohanpur, District Deoghar, lodged the FIR, naming Dubey as the primary accused.

Reacting on social media, Dubey defended his actions as part of his Hindu faith, particularly his efforts to protect cows, which he views as integral to his religious duties.

He questioned whether his actions, aimed at protecting what he considers sacred, should attract such severe government censure.

Dubey also criticized the Jharkhand government’s enforcement practices, claiming they facilitate illegal cattle transportation to Bangladesh, despite laws against such actions.

He alleges this case is a targeted attack by the state to undermine his position because of his vocal opposition to these practices.

Despite the Jharkhand High Court staying the case, Dubey confirmed his intention to comply with the police summons on April 19.
