Banna Gupta and Sanjeev Sardar Give Away benefits to Beneficiaries to give Boost to Social Welfare
Health Minister Banna Gupta disburses Rs 3.94 crore to 19719 pensioners in a significant welfare initiative, celebrating local Anganwadi workers’ contributions.
JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur witnessed a landmark event in its commitment to social welfare and community support.
Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, and Disaster Management of Jharkhand, Banna Gupta, graced the ceremony as the chief guest.
Alongside him, Honorable MLA of Potka, Sanjeev Sardar, attended as a special guest, marking the occasion with their esteemed presence.
The event centered around the distribution of the first installment under the Sarvajan Pension Scheme to beneficiaries aged 50-60 years, and the felicitation of Anganwadi workers for their exemplary service.

Pension Scheme Distribution
On this notable day, a substantial amount of Rs 3 crore 94 lakh 38 thousand was disbursed directly to the bank accounts of 19,719 newly selected pensioners for the months of February and March.
This direct benefit transfer (DBT) aims to provide financial support to the elderly, enhancing their living standards and acknowledging their contribution to society.
Recognition of Anganwadi Workers
Anganwadi workers, the backbone of the nutrition campaign in rural areas, were also honored for their dedication and hard work.
Two maids and assistants from each block received citations for their exceptional service, highlighting the government’s appreciation of their efforts in ensuring community well-being.
Support for the Disabled
The ceremony also spotlighted the welfare of disabled individuals.
Beneficiaries of various schemes like the Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana and the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana were recognized.
Additionally, aids such as hearing devices, tricycles, crutches, and blind sticks were promised to those in need, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to societal support.
A JMM supporter remarked: “This event also underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens, especially the elderly and disabled, through targeted welfare programs and the acknowledgment of grassroots workers.”
