JPSC Civil Services Prelim for 10 Posts Scheduled for January 21

3400 Candidates to Compete in JPSC Civil Services Prelim at 8 Centers

In a significant move, the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is set to conduct the long-awaited Civil Services (Backlog) Preliminary Examination for 10 posts on January 21. This examination will be a critical juncture for about 3400 candidates, following the cancellation of 4261 applications for various reasons.

RANCHI – The examination centers for this pivotal event have been strategically established in eight locations.

These include Saint Paul’s High School, Saint Aloysius Intermediate College, Saint Anna’s Intermediate College, Ursuline Convent Girls’ High School, Saint Xavier’s College Intermediate Section, Saint Paul’s College, Saint John’s High School, and Saint Anna Girls School Purulia Road.

To accommodate the large number of examinees, the exam will be conducted in two distinct shifts.

The morning shift, starting at 10:00 am and concluding at 12:00 noon, will focus on the General Studies first paper.

Following this, the afternoon shift, scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, will examine the candidates on the General Studies Second Paper.

Candidates, in preparation for the exam, are required to download their admit cards from the JPSC’s website, as postal delivery is not an option.

Furthermore, they are mandated to bring two self-signed color photographs, initially submitted during the application process, and a valid photo ID to the examination center.

Strict guidelines have been set for the examination process, including the use of only blue ballpoint pens on the OMR sheets.

The JPSC has strictly prohibited the entry of mobile phones, electronic gadgets, bags, books, food items, and weapons into the exam premises.

In terms of logistics, candidates are advised to reach the examination center at least half an hour before the scheduled time.

Entrance into the center will be permitted only after necessary checks, with latecomers, more than 15 minutes after the exam starts, being denied entry.

Special accommodations are being made for candidates under the handicapped quota, who are required to present their dictation writer certificate to the center superintendent three days prior to the exam.
