West Singhbhum Administration Conducts Surprise Jail Review
Unannounced inspection by the West Singhbhum district administration assesses Mandal Jail Chaibasa’s operations.
CHAIBASA – In an unanticipated move, the West Singhbhum district administration team conducted a thorough surprise inspection of Mandal Jail Chaibasa on Tuesday morning.
Led by Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar and Additional Deputy Commissioner Santosh Kumar Sinha, the team scrutinized the jail’s operational systems.
Key members of the inspection team included Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Animesh Ranjan, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar, Circle Officer, Confidential Deputy Collector, Executive Magistrate, District Sports Officer Rupa Rani Tirkey, Food Safety Officer, and police station in-charge along with police personnel.
Splitting into various groups, the team meticulously examined different prisoner wards within the jail premises.
They focused on evaluating the quality of food provided to inmates, the condition of storage rooms, and the availability of medical supplies, including reviewing maintenance registers and treatment facilities in the wards.
