Olympian Anand Menezes Opens Carmel’s Energetic Sports Meet
Carmel Junior College’s Annual Sports Day showcases young talent in athletics, embodying the theme ‘Together We Can’.
JAMSHEDPUR – Carmel Junior College in Jamshedpur celebrated its Annual Sports Day on December 14 with a display of youthful energy and athletic talent.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Anand L. Menezes, an Olympian and Senior Manager at Tata Steel’s Sports Department.
Embracing the theme ‘Together We Can’ — Making the Impossible Possible, the day was a testament to the spirit of unity and determination among students.
Young participants from LKG to Class IV engaged the audience with their vibrant walk-pasts, colorful drills, and an array of track and fun games.
Events like the 50 meters race, “Pick up Fruits,” “Hop a Little,” and “Santa is Coming” added charm and excitement.
The presence of enthusiastic parents added to the lively and supportive atmosphere of the event.
The day concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where Anand L. Menezes, along with school manager Sister Jyothi D’Souza A.C., principal Sister M. Natasha A.C., and vice principal Sister M. Sharel A.C., awarded medals and certificates to the young achievers.
This ceremony not only recognized the athletic skills of the students but also celebrated their dedication and sportsmanship.
