Jharkhand Celebrates Foundation Day with Rs 11 Cr Welfare Distribution

Sidhgora Town Hall Marks Birsa Munda’s Birth Anniversary; Over Rs 11 Crore in Assets Distributed to Beneficiaries.

JAMSHEDPUR – The birth anniversary of Lord Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda and the State Foundation Day were commemorated with a grand district-level function at Sidhgora’s Town Hall. Shri Banna Gupta, Jharkhand’s Minister of Health, Medical Education, Family Welfare, and Disaster Management, graced the event as the chief guest. Alongside him were prominent officials including District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Kishore Kaushal, and other district authorities.

The ceremony was marked by the distribution of assets worth over Rs 11 crore 20 lakh to beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes.

The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address from the Deputy Development Commissioner.

Shri Banna Gupta paid homage to Lord Birsa Munda and extended greetings for State Foundation Day, emphasizing the state’s commitment to development and inclusivity.

He highlighted various welfare schemes benefiting different social groups, from Sarvajan Pension to youth employment initiatives.

District Magistrate Shri Bhajantri emphasized the administration’s focus on reaching remote and rural areas with these welfare programs.

From November 24th to December 26th, ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ will operationalize this outreach in every Panchayat.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Kaushal also paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda and stressed the collective responsibility for Jharkhand’s development.

Stalls from 16 departments provided public information on various schemes, reinforcing the event’s focus on governmental outreach and public welfare.

Overall, the function not only honored a significant historical figure and celebrated the state’s foundation but also reinforced the government’s dedication to public welfare and development.
