Golmuri’s Birla Temple Renovation Ushered in with Deepotsav Celebration by BJM and Locals
Golmuri’s under-construction Lakshminarayan (Birla) Temple, a beacon of cultural heritage, was illuminated with 1001 lamps in a Deepotsav celebration by BJM workers and local residents.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Lakshminarayan (Birla) Temple in Golmuri Cable Town, currently under reconstruction and renovation plan, witnessed a grand Deepotsav celebration.
Local residents and BJM workers gathered to light 1001 lamps, marking the festival of lights with fervor and community spirit.
This event symbolized a significant step in the temple’s long-awaited renovation.
A month ago, sages and saints, led by MLA Saryu Roy, initiated the renovation of this temple with a Shankhnaad (conch blowing) ceremony.
MLA Saryu Roy, during that event, recounted the temple’s history, revealing that its construction began in 1995 but was halted due to the closure of a cable company. Subsequent attempts to continue building were met with mysterious incidents, leading to beliefs of an invisible force hindering the construction.
MLA Saryu Roy, committed to reviving the temple’s construction, explained that the Shankhnaad program aimed to dispel any obstructive forces or turn them favorable. Emphasizing the cultural significance, he envisioned the temple as a site where people could witness all incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Amarpreet Singh Kale, echoing this sentiment, remarked that God chooses worthy individuals for sacred tasks, identifying MLA Saryu Roy as the pivotal figure in this endeavor.
The event saw participation from various religious leaders, including Mahant of Pardih Kali Temple Jammu Wale Baba, priests from Sakchi Shitala Temple, Chhote Da of Beldih Kali Temple, and numerous puja committees and devotees.
Prominent attendees like Subodh Srivastava and Jagnarayan Sharma were also present, uniting the community in this auspicious undertaking.
