MLA Saryu Roy and Other Devotees Participate in Rituals at Golmuri’s Cable Town
The second day of the Pran-Pratishtha Mahayagna at Shri Laxminarayan Temple in Golmuri Cable Town, Jamshedpur, saw a series of religious ceremonies and rituals.
JAMSHEDPUR – The second day of the Pran-Pratishtha Mahayagna at Shri Laxminarayan Temple in Golmuri Cable Town was marked by various religious activities on Thursday.
The ceremonies included invoking deities, worship, recitations, chanting, and several forms of consecration rites such as Dhannadhivasa, Dhrttadhivasa, Gandhadhivasa, and Dhoopadhivasa.
The chief patron of the Mahayagna was Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy.
Other participants in the rituals included Suraj Hembram, Pushpa Khadka, Durga Khadka, Seema Karan, Kanhaiya Jha, Roopa Devi, UK Sharma, Vinod Rai, and Bhargavi Devi.
The ceremonies began in the morning with the invocation of deities and prayers for well-being, followed by Panchagast Puja, Navagraha Mandala Puja, Jogini Puja, and Kshetrapal Puja.
On the third day, Friday, the rituals will continue with the worship of the installed deities, Agni Sthapana through Arani Manthan, recitations, chanting, and various forms of consecration rites including Pushpadhivasa, Phaladhivasa, Vastradhivasa, Aushadhyadhivasa, and Misthanadhivasa.
Vinod Pandey, who is overseeing the Mahayagna, stated that renovating any temple is a highly virtuous act. Citing the Agni Purana, he explained that restoring a dilapidated temple yields twice the spiritual benefit of constructing a new one.
The Mahayagna is being conducted under the guidance of the renowned Pandit Gaurikant Thakur from Begusarai, with the participation of 31 priests including Vinod Pandey, Sanjeev Pandey, Raju Chaubey, Ajay Tiwari, Asangh Chaubey, and Nirmal Dubey.
