Bistupur DAV’s Youth Parliament Encourages Political Engagement
DAV Public School Bistupur’s Social Science club ‘Vimarsh’ successfully conducted the 5th Youth Parliament, highlighting the importance of political involvement among youth. The event, commencing with traditional ceremonies, was a display of astute student portrayals of national leaders. Principal Mrs. Pragya Singh lauded the participants’ eagerness and intelligence, advocating for greater youth participation in civic life.
JAMSHEDPUR – The 5th Youth Parliament, organized by DAV Public School’s ‘Vimarsh’ club, began today.
The event started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the DAV Gaan.
Mrs. Pragya Singh, the Principal, praised the students’ portrayal of leaders.
She stressed the importance of such events in creating informed citizens.

The Youth Parliament allows students to experience the democratic process.
It is structured similarly to the national parliament with two chambers.
Students from classes VI-VIII represented the ruling and opposition parties.
Discussions focused on the proposition of renaming India to Bharat.
Debates also covered topics like the Economic Crisis and the ‘Manipur Incident.’
The sessions included debates on crisis management in communal riot scenarios.
Opposition parties questioned the ruling party on social and economic challenges.
Students emulated politicians like Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi effectively.
The final session featured a well-researched debate on a proposed draft.
