Family demands compensation and employment after a laborer’s death in Bokaro Steel Plant, alleging mismanagement by company management.

BOKARO – Kamlesh Sao, a 43-year-old laborer employed by Lakshmi Construction, died allegedly after falling while working at Bokaro Steel Plant on June 16th.

The laborer was initially treated at the plant’s hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to Bokaro General Hospital.

Despite the hospital’s best efforts, the laborer succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

News of his death ignited a protest from his family members and local residents at the hospital.

They are demanding compensation and job provision for the deceased’s relatives.

Julie Devi, the widow of the deceased, alleges that her husband was perfectly healthy when he went to work and that his fall resulted in a fatal head injury.

Devi, now left to care for their young children without support, is calling for an adequate compensation plan.

The local leader, Sahdev Sao, demands accountability from the plant’s management and contractor, claiming that attempts are being made to hush up the incident.
