Youth Congress protests in Jamshedpur over insufficient electricity supply amid rising temperatures. Residents demand improvement in power distribution system.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Youth Congress staged a protest at the office of the General Manager of the Electricity Department, decrying the crippling electricity system in the non-company area of Jamshedpur, and demanding an improved and more reliable electricity supply without delay.
It’s worth noting that temperatures in Jamshedpur city have been consistently above 42 degrees Celsius, and people are troubled by the scorching heat.
In addition to this, the faltering power system has resulted in sleepless nights for many residents. In response, the Youth Congress has taken to the streets in protest.
They explained that in non-company areas, the government’s electricity system is in operation, but people are receiving electricity for only a brief period in the 24-hour day.
The situation is exacerbated by dilapidated poles and electric wires, resulting in a lack of electricity supply in many areas.
The protesters called for the removal of these obstacles and a consistent electricity supply to ease the discomfort caused by the persistent heat.
