Pakistans new Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sacked Ramiz Raza from the post of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman as he was a close friend of former World Cup winning Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Shehbaz’s close friend Nazam Shetty has been made the new chairman of PCB.
Soon after Nazam Sethi took charge of the PCB, his people started criticizing Ramiz Raja. They alleged that Ramiz took extra privileges from PCB. Ramiz Raja used a bulletproof car especially during the Australian cricket team’s tour to Pakistan.
Ramiz Raja opened up about why he used the bulletproof car. He said, ‘The car belongs to PCB, not bought by me. Those who came in charge after me can also use it. I was threatened with death. You don’t get a bulletproof car without the threat of death.’
He also said, ‘I cannot reveal the information of that threat. When Australia came to Pakistan last March, I was threatened. DIG sir then came to my house. He gave a report on the whole matter.’
