JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Dineshanand Goswami, the former state president of BJP in Jharkhand, on Wednesday made a poignant visit to the historic Cellular Jail in Port Blair, Andaman Nicobar Islands.
During his visit, he paid homage to the picture of Veer Savarkar, a significant figure in India’s freedom struggle.
Goswami expressed his deep reverence and emotional response to the harsh conditions endured by Savarkar due to his patriotic fervor.
In his statement, he reflected on the importance of Cellular Jail as a symbol of the freedom struggle.
Describing the site as a "holy pilgrimage," he highlighted the brutalities of British colonial rule against India’s valiant freedom fighters.
Goswami emphasized the significance of Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s sacrifices, particularly during his imprisonment and torture in the infamous Kala Pani.
