CPI Prepares for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections in Jharkhand

CPI National General Secretary D Raja visits Jharkhand, holds meetings with party workers and Chief Minister Hemant Soren, in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

RANCHI – CPI National General Secretary and former MP, D Raja, visited Ranchi in Jharkhand on Monday, where he met with party workers and advised them to reach out to as many people as possible before the elections.

As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections approach, political parties across the country have initiated their preparations.

In Jharkhand, top leaders of the Communist Party of India (CPI) are actively rallying their party workers.

D Raja also met with the state’s Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, after the workers’ convention.

In a press conference held on Monday following his meeting with Chief Minister Soren, D Raja discussed strategies to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party in the elections.

On his two-day tour in Jharkhand, D Raja revealed that the CPI has identified seven Lok Sabha seats where it may field candidates.

During the press conference, former MP Bhubaneswar Mehta stated that on June 27th, the CPI, along with other groups fighting for the rights of the displaced, will stage a demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan.

Mehta said that the concerns of the displaced were raised during the meeting with the Chief Minister, who assured that the matter would be considered in the future.

Regarding the opposition parties’ meeting scheduled in Patna on June 23rd, he said that D Raja will represent the CPI, Sitaram Yechury will represent CPI(M), and Dipankar Bhattacharya will represent CPIM(L).

Discussions are ongoing with all opposition parties in Jharkhand about the upcoming elections, aiming to form a united front to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party.
