JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leaders staged a protest against holding tax hike in Mango and submitted a memorandum to authorities.

The Bharatiya Janata Party organized a protest on Saturday. It was held at the deputy commissioner’s office in Jamshedpur.

Party workers opposed the revised holding tax system. Meanwhile, they said the increase ranged between 15 and 20 percent.

Leaders stated the decision burdens common residents. Moreover, they said it affects flat owners and small traders.

They added that shopkeepers and showroom operators will face pressure. However, middle-class business owners may suffer the most.

The party highlighted poor civic conditions in Mango. Meanwhile, they said water and roads remain inadequate.

They also pointed to weak drainage and sanitation systems. In contrast, tax rates have been increased sharply.

Leaders called the move unjust for residents. Moreover, they described the hike as financially unbearable.

The protest also raised concerns about water scarcity. Meanwhile, they said the crisis has worsened during summer.

Residents struggle to access daily water needs. However, daily wage workers face the toughest situation.

Leaders said children’s education is being affected. Moreover, families spend hours arranging water supplies.

The BJP demanded an immediate rollback of the tax hike. Meanwhile, they urged improvement in basic services first.

They also sought public consultation before such decisions. In contrast, they said no local feedback was considered.

Party leaders warned of a larger agitation. However, they said protests will follow democratic methods.

They added that authorities will be responsible if unrest grows. Meanwhile, they reiterated support for affected residents.
