Fire Breaks Out in Fourth-Floor Flat of Al Ansari Apartment in Mango

Woman and Two Children Escape as Residents Contain Early-Morning Blaze

Key Points:

  • Fire erupts inside fourth-floor flat in Al Ansari Apartment
  • Residents act quickly and douse flames before team arrives
  • Locals doubt cause linked to children playing with matches

JAMSHEDPUR – A morning fire caused panic in a Mango apartment building as residents rushed out and helped control the flames before officials reached the spot.

The blaze started in a fourth-floor unit of Al Ansari Apartment near B Ahmad Hall on Road No. 17. A woman and her two children were inside the flat. However, the fire spread fast inside the bedroom.

According to the woman, the children were playing with matches. She said the spark hit some clothes. The blaze then engulfed the bedroom furniture.

However, neighbours noticed smoke rising. Residents rushed out at once. The corridor soon filled with alarmed families.

Meanwhile, others called the fire brigade. The call went out quickly, but the team reached after nearly one hour. Local residents said they had already acted by then.

In addition, a man named Kashif and his friends worked together. They brought water and put out most of the flames. A local source said, “We acted fast to stop the fire from spreading.”

On the other hand, several residents questioned the stated cause. They felt the fire might have another reason. One resident said, “It seems unlikely that matches alone caused this level of damage.”

The brigade later secured the remaining materials. They checked the burnt area and ensured no fresh sparks remained.

In a year marked by multiple fire incidents across the city, the community recalled similar cases. Some referred to a blaze at a clothing warehouse. Others mentioned a recent car fire in Baridih. Comparisons were also drawn with seized vehicles that burned in Sundernagar. Moreover, some recalled a highway container fire and a car blaze in Jugsalai.
