Special Event at Cheshire Home Marks World Disability Day Campaign

JAMSHEDPUR – A groundbreaking ceremony at Cheshire Home brought together disability advocates and women’s organizations to combat gender-based violence.

The event united diverse participants at Sundernagar’s Cheshire Home. YUVA spearheaded this meaningful initiative.

Meanwhile, three prominent organizations joined forces for this cause. Moreover, the campaign will run for sixteen days.

“This platform gives voice to our often-overlooked community,” shared a participant from Potka block.

Furthermore, artistic expressions took center stage at the ceremony. The participants created impactful posters highlighting social issues.

In addition, musical performances captivated the audience. Several attendees showcased their dancing abilities too.

The ceremony recognized outstanding performances with special prizes. Caregivers provided crucial support throughout the event.

Meanwhile, Cheshire Home has been serving disabled individuals since 1981. The facility supports over 100 residents annually.

Moreover, CREA’s involvement brings international expertise to local initiatives. The organization operates in multiple countries worldwide.

On the other hand, Women Gaining Ground Consortium focuses on grassroots empowerment. They have implemented similar programs across Jharkhand.

“Inclusive events create lasting positive change,” remarked a local disability rights advocate.
