District Officials Urged to Expedite Rural Development Schemes

DDC sets strict deadlines for Abua Awas, Birsa Harit Gram Yojanas

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of crucial rural development schemes in the district.

The meeting was held on District Magistrate Ananya Mittal’s directives.

It focused on Abua Awas Yojana, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, and Maiya Samman Yojana.

Block Development Officers and other officials participated via virtual conference.

Moreover, Kumar expressed strong displeasure over incomplete Abua Awas Yojana registrations.

He set a September 26 deadline for 100% registration against the 29,934 target.

The DDC warned of action against officers for delays or incorrect registrations.

Additionally, slow disbursement of installments under Abua Awas Yojana was noted.

Officials were directed to expedite payment proposals and construction progress.

Furthermore, geo-tagging of houses at plinth and lintel stages was emphasized.

Under Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, a strict September 30 deadline was set for plantations.

A district-level team will conduct site inspections starting September 24.

On the other hand, issues with the Chief Minister Mainiyan Samman Yojana were addressed.

Delayed payments due to bank account errors were highlighted.

Officials were instructed to coordinate with banks for re-transfer of pending amounts.

The DDC stressed the importance of updating beneficiaries’ KYC information.

In conclusion, Kumar urged all officials to meet the set deadlines.

He emphasized the significance of these schemes for rural development.

The meeting underscored the administration’s commitment to efficient scheme implementation.

Timely completion of these projects is crucial for improving rural livelihoods.
