Hemant Soren Approves Pay Hike for Home Guards on 49th Birthday

Daily duty allowance increased to Rs. 1,088, on par with police personnel

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren grants significant pay raise to home guards, matching their daily allowance with police personnel.

RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren marked his 49th birthday by approving a substantial pay increase for home guards (volunteers) in Jharkhand.

The proposal equalizes the daily duty allowance of home guards with that of police personnel.

Home guards will now receive Rs. 1,088 per day, a significant increase from the current Rs. 500 daily allowance.

The decision benefits 3,527 home guards currently serving in law and order maintenance across the state.

This move recognizes the vital role played by home guards in supporting law enforcement efforts.

The pay hike is expected to boost morale and improve the financial condition of home guard volunteers.

Chief Minister Soren’s decision aligns with his commitment to welfare measures for various sectors.

The increased allowance may attract more volunteers to join the home guard service.

This development is part of broader efforts to strengthen Jharkhand’s law enforcement capabilities.

The state government views this as an investment in public safety and security infrastructure.
