Sona Devi University in Ghatshila marked World Environment Day with an event showcasing the commitment of students and faculty to environmental protection.

JAMSHEDPUR – The celebration of World Environment Day at Sona Devi University in Ghatshila witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, reflecting the university’s dedication to environmental conservation.

The event was highlighted by the presence of Chancellor Prabhakar Singh, who served as the chief guest.

Vice Chancellor Professor JP Mishra delivered an inspiring speech, offering students valuable suggestions on contributing to environmental sustainability.

Dr. Gulab Singh Azad, the University Registrar, shared numerous insights on environmental conservation to help students succeed in both academic and personal endeavors.

A key highlight of the day was the planting of saplings by several distinguished individuals, symbolizing the university’s commitment to a greener planet.

Participants included Anasuya Rai, Shraddha Panda, Umesh Gupta, Prof. Leena Srivastava, and Prof. Aftab Alam, among others.

Their actions underscored practical steps that can be taken to protect and preserve the environment.

Faculty members demonstrated their expertise and talents in environmental protection, guiding and inspiring students throughout the event.

The celebration saw the active participation of teachers, lecturers, and non-teaching staff, emphasizing the collective effort required to address environmental challenges.
