Parents and Students Join Hands to Plant Saplings in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – The primary wing of Kasidih High School organized a Van Mahotsav on Monday, bringing together students, parents and teachers for a campus-wide plantation drive.
Kasidih High School is a unit of Gem Foundation. Its primary wing covers classes from LKG through class five.
Students, parents, teachers and school management took part enthusiastically. Everyone pledged to build a greener campus through plantation.
The event opened with a cultural dance performance. Students staged the dance to highlight the importance of Van Mahotsav.
Junior coordinator Rita Mishra attended the celebration. Program coordinator Sangeeta Dubey and other primary-wing teachers were also present.
Various activities marked the day for different classes. However, each activity carried its own environmental message.
LKG and UKG children took part in a fancy dress competition. Their costumes charmed everyone present at the event.
Parents of class one and two students planted saplings on campus. Their gesture reinforced the message of environmental protection.
Meanwhile, class three students carried out plantation themselves. They demonstrated their own responsibility toward nature.
Class four and five students engaged in pot painting and craft work. They also drew pictures of various flowers.
Their artistic entries highlighted the features of different blooms. The children’s creativity became a major attraction of the event.
Coordinator Sangeeta Dubey said trees protect the environment. She added that trees remain essential for human life as well.
She urged students and parents to plant more trees. She also asked them to look after the saplings regularly.
Besides that, she called for making environmental protection a daily habit. Children were encouraged to safeguard nature and maintain a clean surrounding.
Dubey led the primary department’s teaching staff throughout the event. Colleagues across the wing supported the smooth conduct of the festival.
Attractive decorations and coordinated planning contributed to its success. Active participation from everyone added to the celebration.
Similar tree-planting appeals have surfaced across Jamshedpur in recent weeks. Students at a Gamharia school recently held an environment day event to conserve nature.
Meanwhile, a Ramgarh initiative saw plants distributed after recycling plastic waste. On the other hand, city schools have also been marking academic milestones this month.
Shri Krishna Public School recently held a prize distribution ceremony honoring its achievers. Narbheram Hansraj English School similarly felicitated its board toppers at its own function.
In addition, Sacred Heart Convent School honored its meritorious students at a separate ceremony. A Gamharia institute also concluded its student council election around the same time.
At the close of the Van Mahotsav, all students, parents and teachers took a collective pledge. They vowed to build and protect a green, clean and safe environment through continued plantation.
