How the darkness darkens
The silence silences
And the pain excruciates
A girl stares in the abyss
Wishing to disappear,
To dissolve in the dark
Leave behind the obscurity
Sensing lack of security
She lay in bed,
Longing to touch the stars
To wander in space
To land on Mars
Leaving behind the people she knew,
Rising above, far she flew
Finding the peace which once was gone
No one to threaten,
No one to warn
She dreams to meet the angels,
To ask them why she was born to be blamed,
To be the topic for quarrels,
And exist to be claimed,
She wants to be an orphan
To own the streets,
To live freely, to earn her treats,
To be a warrior, the rescuer of the princess within,
Walking miles to protect the dignity,
And be able to lift her chin
How the darkness darkens
