JAMSHEDPUR – Police solved a major house theft near Seva Sadan Hospital in Jugsalai within 24 hours.

The theft occurred at a residence on M.E. School Road. The house stands near Seva Sadan Hospital.

However, unknown thieves broke an almirah during the night. The incident happened on February 1, 2026.

Meanwhile, diamonds, gold, and silver jewellery were stolen. Cash was also taken from the house.

In contrast, the owner filed a complaint at Jugsalai police station. Police immediately began the investigation.

Moreover, the Senior Superintendent of Police issued clear instructions. A special raiding team was formed.

Meanwhile, the team worked under the City SP’s supervision. Deputy Superintendent led the operation.

However, police used CCTV footage during the probe. A dog squad also assisted officers.

On the other hand, secret intelligence helped identify the suspect. Police tracked his movements quickly.

Moreover, police arrested Ritik Kumar Singh within 24 hours. He is 23 years old.

Meanwhile, the accused lives near Seva Sadan Hospital. He was taken into custody without resistance.

In contrast, police recovered all stolen items after interrogation. Recovery followed the accused’s disclosure.

Moreover, recovered items included gold and silver ornaments. Diamond-studded jewellery was also seized.

Meanwhile, bangles, chains, rings, and anklets were found. Nose rings and coins were also recovered.

However, police also seized cash of varying denominations. Clothes used during the theft were confiscated.

In contrast, officers estimated the recovered property’s value. The total value is about Rs 1 crore.

Meanwhile, police revealed the accused’s criminal history. A previous case exists in Sakchi.

However, police stated the accused earlier acted with his girlfriend. This time, he worked alone.
