Wedding Gathering Targeted as Burglars Strike House at Night

JAMSHEDPUR – A theft worth nearly Rs 25 lakh was reported from Jugsalai during a wedding gathering.

The incident occurred in the Jugsalai police station area. The location was Naya Bazaar Ramtekri Road near Firingi Chowk.

According to police records, unknown thieves entered a house at night. The burglary happened around 3 am on January 21.

The house belonged to local resident Sukhvinder Singh Saggu. A wedding ceremony was underway inside the residence.

Many guests were present inside the house. Meanwhile, security lapses were allegedly exploited by the intruder.

CCTV cameras captured the theft incident. Police later examined the footage for clues.

The stolen items included gold ornaments and silver jewellery. Cash and expensive watches were also taken.

The stolen gold items included two bangles weighing 60 grams. Besides, two gold rings weighed around 30 grams.

A gold chain weighing 20 grams was also missing. Additionally, a gold locket weighing 5 grams was stolen.

Four gold earrings weighing 40 grams were taken. Moreover, silver bangles weighing 150 grams were stolen.

Two wristwatches worth Rs 10,000 were missing. Around Rs 30,000 in cash was also stolen.

The victim later lodged an FIR at the Jugsalai police station. Police officials confirmed the registration.
