Chhath Puja Theft in Jugsalai Despite SSP’s Patrol Team Efforts

Thieves Strike Anil Aggarwal’s Home During Chhath Puja in Jugsalai

Burglary near Bata Chowk highlights challenges in curbing theft during festive seasons.

JAMSHEDPUR – Despite heightened security measures implemented by SSP Kishore Kaushal, including a team of Tiger Mobile personnel to prevent theft during Chhath Puja, a burglary occurred in a crowded area near Bata Chowk, under the jurisdiction of Jugsalai police station.

The incident took place at the residence of Anil Aggarwal, who owns a flour mill at his home.

Aggarwal reported that the theft occurred while he and his family, including his mother, were at Adityapur Ghat celebrating Chhath Puja.

Upon their return, they discovered that the door to their upstairs room had been broken into.

The thieves managed to steal jewelry worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1 lakh in cash from almirahs in two rooms.

The incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the patrolling strategies during major festivals when many residents are away from their homes.

Social worker Munna Aggarwal visited the aggrieved family to offer support following the burglary.

The local police are presumably investigating the theft to apprehend the culprits and prevent future incidents of this nature.

Locals stressed the need for enhanced security measures and vigilance, especially during times of festivals and gatherings.
