JAMSHEDPUR – A firing incident near Krishnanagar temple in Govindpur police station area left a local resident injured on Sunday evening.

Virendra Kumar sustained injuries when a bullet grazed his leg. The bullet narrowly missed causing serious damage. He escaped with minor injuries in the incident.

The victim was rushed to Tata Motors Hospital immediately. Local residents assisted in transporting him for treatment. Doctors provided primary medical care and discharged him.

Virendra Kumar works as a CCTV camera technician professionally. He was standing near Krishnanagar temple on his bike. The incident occurred late Sunday evening unexpectedly.

Suddenly, gunshot sounds echoed in the area. The bullet struck before he could comprehend the situation. Moreover, panic spread throughout the neighborhood after the firing.

Govindpur police station officers reached the spot promptly. They launched an investigation into the shooting incident. Station in-charge Pawan Kumar led the inquiry team.

Police are investigating based on Virendra’s statement currently. The shooter’s identity remains unknown at this stage. Furthermore, the motive behind the firing is unclear.

Authorities are examining all possible angles in the case. CCTV footage from the incident location is being analyzed. Additionally, cameras from surrounding areas are being reviewed.

Police aim to identify the person who fired shots. The investigation focuses on establishing shooter’s identity quickly. Officers expressed confidence in solving the case soon.

Similar firing incidents occurred in Jugsalai’s Millat Nagar recently. A firing in Bagbera left one injured earlier. Another shooting in Tuiladungri wounded a victim.

Previously, firing occurred at immersion procession near Barigora crossing. A Golmuri firing case resulted in three arrests. Bike-borne assailants opened fire near Jemco Gurudwara.
