Firing in Tuiladungri Leaves One Injured, Police Begin Probe

Gunfire Exchange at Ravi Kheda’s House in Golmuri Injures Youth

Key Points:

  • Gunfire reported near Ravi Kheda’s residence in Tuiladungri
  • One youth injured, admitted to Tata Main Hospital
  • Police suspect old rivalry behind the shooting

JAMSHEDPUR – One youth was seriously hurt after a gunfight broke out at Tuiladungri in Golmuri on Friday night.

According to police sources, the firing started after an attack on the house of Ravi Kheda. Unknown assailants first opened fire at his residence. In retaliation, Kheda and his associates fired back.

However, bullets struck near the suspects’ houses, injuring a local youth named Satpal Singh. Residents rushed him to Tata Main Hospital, where his treatment continues.

Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the entire area. Officials have started investigating the case to trace those involved.

Preliminary reports suggest that the firing may be linked to an old dispute between the parties.

Besides, Friday witnessed two separate firing incidents in the city — first in Jugsalai and later in Golmuri. Observers note that such back-to-back shootings have once again raised concerns over the city’s law and order.

A reliable local source said, “People are terrified after hearing gunshots twice in one evening.”
