SERAIKELA – A speeding truck overturned on an e-rickshaw near Chaliyama. Two passengers died instantly in the morning accident.

The incident occurred on Tata-Chaibasa main road today. The accident site falls under Rajnagar police station jurisdiction. A speeding truck suddenly lost control on highway.

The vehicle overturned directly onto an e-rickshaw below. Two e-rickshaw passengers died at the accident scene. However, three others sustained serious injuries in crash.

Local residents immediately rushed to help the victims. They transported injured passengers to hospital without delay. Moreover, authorities received information about the incident promptly.

Police reached the accident location upon receiving alert. Officers began clearing the overturned truck from road. Meanwhile, traffic congestion developed on the main highway.

Long queues of vehicles formed due to blockage. Police worked to restore normal traffic flow gradually. In addition, officers initiated search for truck driver.

The driver fled from accident scene after crash. Authorities launched investigation into accident causes and circumstances. Furthermore, statements from witnesses are being recorded systematically.

The Seraikela district has witnessed several recent accidents. Earlier this month, a Tata Steel Foundation employee died in road accident near Rajnagar. In August, three Jamshedpur youth were killed in Rajnagar road accident. Additionally, collision between two passenger buses near Rajnagar left several injured. Previously, a teacher died in tragic road accident in Seraikela.
