  • Program includes 50 hours of specialized training sessions

JAMSHEDPUR – Arbind Tiwari, principal of Uttkramit Middle School in Tangraain, Potka, has been selected for the prestigious Umang Fellowship by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

The fellowship program represents a significant achievement for educators nationwide. However, only 50 teachers from across India receive this opportunity. Meanwhile, participants will undergo comprehensive 50-hour training sessions.

Tiwari’s selection brings multiple benefits to his teaching approach. Moreover, the program focuses on implementing modern SEL frameworks in classrooms. In addition, fellows receive tools for creating joyful learning environments.

The fellowship provides specialized guidance for classroom management strategies. Furthermore, participants learn to balance student welfare with personal well-being. Besides, fellows implement SEL projects with personalized support throughout the process.

TISS Mumbai designed this program to enhance teaching skills significantly. On the other hand, the initiative aims to improve educational quality nationwide. However, selected educators must demonstrate exceptional commitment to student development.

The Umang Fellowship addresses critical gaps in contemporary education. Moreover, participants gain access to cutting-edge pedagogical methods. In contrast, traditional teaching approaches often lack such comprehensive support systems.

Tiwari’s achievement reflects the growing recognition of rural educators’ potential. Furthermore, the program emphasizes practical implementation over theoretical knowledge. Besides, fellows receive ongoing mentorship throughout their participation period.

The fellowship duration spans several months with intensive training modules. However, participants continue applying learned concepts in their respective institutions. Meanwhile, peer collaboration enhances the overall learning experience for all fellows.
