JAMSHEDPUR – Local dignitaries gathered at Sreeleathers showroom in Bistupur to commemorate Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary.

Shekhar Dey, Sreeleathers partner, began the ceremony by garlanding Netaji’s portrait. Meanwhile, he lit the ceremonial lamp.

Historical Connection

Dey recalled Netaji’s significant 1928 Jamshedpur visit. During this visit, Bose provided valuable suggestions for workers’ welfare.

His recommendations led to important changes at Tata Steel. Moreover, these changes improved workers’ conditions significantly.

Progressive Vision

“Netaji formed a women’s armed regiment before independence,” a participant noted. His actions challenged societal barriers.

The freedom fighter combined military strategy with economic understanding. Furthermore, his policies aimed to benefit all sections.

Dey emphasized the continued relevance of Netaji’s ideas. However, many of his progressive visions remain unimplemented.
