SERAIKELA – In a shocking turn of events, Seraikela police uncovered that the son of a local studio owner, Dilip Gorai, masterminded his father’s murder. Arrests were made in connection with the January 13 crime, involving three individuals, including the victim’s younger son, Rakesh Gorai.

Family Dispute Turns Deadly

Investigations revealed that Rakesh Gorai, the victim’s son from his first marriage, conspired with his nephew, Sumit Solanki. Offering Rs. 65,000, he hired Sumit and his accomplice Kailash Karmakar to execute the murder. The crime occurred while Dilip Gorai was opening his studio, Kalpana Studio, on January 13.

Swift Police Action

Acting under the guidance of Superintendent of Police and SDPO Arvind Kumar Binha, a specialized team resolved the case using technical analysis and human intelligence. The team recovered critical evidence, including a Hero Splendor motorcycle and clothes worn by the perpetrators during the crime.

Ongoing Investigations

Authorities confirmed ongoing operations to apprehend other suspects and recover the weapon used in the murder. SDPO Binha emphasized that further arrests are imminent as the case unfolds.
